Hyderabad: The National Mineral Development Corporation Ltd. (NMDC) conducted a tree-planting campaign at the Nehru Zoological Park in Hyderabad on Thursday.

As part of their CSR initiative, NMDC officials planted saplings and adopted a Royal Bengal tiger and a white tiger for a year. For this, the chairman of NMDC presented a cheque for Rs. 2 lakhs to the zoo curator.

Sumit Deb, the chairman and managing director of NMDC, said, "Our country's national animal is the magnificent Royal Bengal tiger, and the white tiger is a rare species.
