Hyderabad: Clearing the air, Gandhi Hospital Superintendent Dr. M Raja Rao said there is no oxygen supply shortage in the hospital.
"Gandhi hospital is having 20 KL tanks and 6 KL Liquid oxygen tanks. They are refilled from time to time. Till now no such situation (of oxygen supply in Gandhi hospital). And all of us pray that the state should not face oxygen shortage," he said.
Dr, Raja Rao said patients from all corners of Telangana are pouring into Gandhi hospital. "Our staff is working round the clock to serve the patients. We are all stretching beyond our capacities to serve and save the patients for the past one year. Please understand our efforts to serve and save the patients." he stated.
He urged the people to follow all health protocols to stay safe.
Health Minister Eatala Rajender and other senior health officials have already announced that there is no shortage of oxygen supply in the state.
Earlier in the day, Minister KT Rama Rao said arrangements are being made to make 4 lakh plus Remdesivir vials available in government hospitals within a week.
"As directed by Hon'ble CM KCR Garu, have held discussions with several manufacturers of #Remdisivir today. Have made arrangements for 4 lakh plus vials to be made available across all Govt hospitals within a week." he tweeted.
