Notorious Yousufguda drug peddler arrested; 15 gms MDMA seized

Hyderabad: A notorious drug peddler was arrested under the Amberpet police station limits in Hyderabad with 15 grams of MDMA. The sleuths of the Hyderabad Narcotic Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) along with the Amberpet police apprehended 50-year-old Bharath Thukral of Yousufguda, Hyderabad.
They seized 15 gms of MDMA, a cell phone, and a four-wheeler—all worth Rs. 5 lakhs, from him.
Bharath Thukral is a resident of Madhura Nagar in Yousufguda, Hyderabad. He purchased psychotropic drugs from an absconding drug supplier in Mumbai, Maharashtra, and then sold them in Hyderabad.
On 23 January, Bharath Thukral was trying to sell drugs under the Amberpet police station limits when he was arrested by the H-NEW and Amberpet police. Six people who were purchasing drugs from Thukral have been identified and an investigation is underway to identify other consumers, the police said.
