One-way traffic trial around KBR Park in Hyderabad ends, regular movement to resume today

Hyderabad: A one-way traffic trial run conducted around KBR Park on Sunday as part of the Hyderabad City Innovative and Transformative Infrastructure (H-CITI) project concluded successfully, with authorities set to restore normal traffic flow from Monday.
The trial was undertaken in view of the ongoing construction of a steel flyover and underpass in the Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills areas.
Commissioner of Police VC Sajjanar personally inspected the arrangements on the ground to assess traffic movement and identify possible improvements.
Senior officials monitor traffic flow
Accompanied by Joint CP (Traffic) D Joel Davis and other senior officials, the Commissioner reviewed the trial along key stretches, including KBR Main Gate, Basavatarakam Hospital, Agrasen Junction, Film Nagar, and Road No. 45 up to Jubilee Hills Check Post.
Officials closely observed vehicular movement and congestion points during the exercise.
Trial limited to one day
Police clarified that the one-way traffic arrangement was implemented only as a trial for Sunday. Regular two-way traffic will resume as usual from Monday, ensuring minimal disruption to commuters.
Findings to be shared with GHMC
Authorities stated that observations from the trial run, including bottlenecks and required modifications, will be compiled and submitted to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) for further planning and execution.
More trials likely
Based on feedback and necessary improvements, officials indicated that additional trial runs may be conducted in the future. The public will be informed in advance before any such exercise is carried out.
