One-way traffic trial around KBR Park this Sunday amid flyover and underpass works

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Traffic Police has announced traffic diversions and a one-way trial run around KBR Park on Sunday (11 am to 1 pm) in view of the ongoing construction of a steel flyover and underpass works under the Hyderabad City Innovative & Transformative Infrastructure (H-CITI) project.

The restrictions will be enforced in the limits of Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills traffic police stations, impacting key arterial roads surrounding KBR Park. Commuters have been advised to plan their travel in advance and follow designated diversion routes to avoid inconvenience.

What are the diversion routes?

1. From NFCL towards Jubilee Hills, Road No. 36, 45, Cable Bridge: Motorists travelling from NFCL towards SNT, Sagar Society (Mugdha), KBR Park entrance, Jubilee Hills Check Post, Road No. 36, Road No. 45 and Durgam Cheruvu Cable Bridge are advised to take a left at NTR Bhavan towards Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital.

They should proceed via Agrasen Island, continue towards Omega Hospital, and then move towards Road No. 45, Jubilee Hills Check Post, Cable Bridge and IKEA.

2. From Yousufguda, Srinagar Colony towards Jubilee Hills/Madhapur: Commuters are advised to take Indiranagar Gadda Road (Road No. 5, Jubilee Hills) towards Venkatagiri Junction.

From there, take a right turn and proceed via Road No. 10 (via Diamond House), continue towards Al-Cazar, and then take a right towards Road No. 36 and further to Road No. 45 leading to Madhapur.

Key instructions for Commuters:

Traffic will be regulated as a one-way system between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm on Sunday

No U-turns will be allowed on designated routes

Motorists must drive on the left and use marked exit points

Follow traffic police instructions and on-ground signage

Use navigation apps for real-time updates

Prefer public transport or carpooling to reduce congestion

Heavy vehicles should avoid the stretch during peak hours

The traffic police expressed regret over the inconvenience caused and stated that the measures are necessary to ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety during the ongoing infrastructure works.

Hyderabad Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic), D. Joel Davis, issued the advisory and urged citizens to cooperate with authorities and follow traffic regulations for hassle-free movement.
