Hyderabad: Food Safety Task Force (FSTF) team on Friday conducted inspections at various food service establishments in the Gachibowli and Raidurg areas.
The inspection was aimed at assessing hygiene and safety regulations.
Inspection at Compass India Food Services Pvt Ltd
At Compass India Food Services Pvt Ltd, located in Synergy Park, Gachibowli, officials observed that the establishment maintained key food safety standards. A valid FSSAI license was prominently displayed.
Records related to pest control, water and food analysis, FoSTaC (Food Safety Training and Certification) training, and medical fitness of food handlers were available for verification. The team also noted that equipment calibration is conducted periodically and that Total Polar Materials (TPM) levels in reused oil are being regularly monitored.
However, one issue was flagged: dustbins were found to be open, which could lead to contamination if not addressed.
Inspection at Eatgood Technologies Pvt Ltd (Hunger Box)
At Eatgood Technologies Pvt Ltd, operating under the brand Hunger Box in Raidurg, the inspection team found the FSSAI license displayed clearly. Necessary documentation, including pest control records, water analysis reports, and food handlersā medical and FoSTaC certificates, was available.
During the inspection, officials discovered that Biryani Masala (250g) and Jaggery (2kg) had expired. These items were discarded immediately. Additionally, some food items in the refrigerator were found unlabelled, and there was no gap between food storage units and the walls, a requirement to maintain proper sanitation and prevent pest infestation.
Continued Monitoring
The task force emphasized that regular inspections will continue to ensure compliance with food safety regulations across Hyderabad. Establishments have been advised to rectify the observed lapses at the earliest to avoid penalties or further action.
