Hyderabad: A Pakistani national illegally entered India via the Nepal border and reached Hyderabad to reunite with his wife.

The incident, which occurred around nine months ago, has raised concerns about border security and the motivation behind this audacious journey.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, South Zone, Sai Chaitanya said authorities apprehended the man while attempting to fraudulently obtain an Aadhaar card. The individual, identified as Fayaz Ahmed (24) from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, initially traveled to Sharjah in December 2018 for employment in the textile industry located within the Saif Zone.

The story takes a romantic turn as it unfolds. Neha Fatima (29), a resident of Kishanbagh in Hyderabad, also traveled to Sharjah in 2019 for work. Fayaz helped her secure a job in the Millionium Fashion Industry, and over time, their relationship evolved into a love story. Later tied the knot in Sharjah in the same year. The couple was also blessed with a child.

While Fatima returned to Hyderabad last year and settled in Kishan Bagh, Fayaz returned to Pakistan. Despite the geographical distance, the couple maintained their connection, with plans for a shared future. Fatima's parents, Zubair Sheikh and Afzal Begum stayed in touch with Fayaz through phone calls, assuring him of support in obtaining the necessary identity documents upon his arrival in Hyderabad.

However, the situation took an unexpected turn in November 2022 when Fayaz embarked on a daring journey from Pakistan to Nepal. Zubair Sheikh and Afzal Begum traveled to Kathmandu, to meet Fayaz, and with the assistance of local contacts, they facilitated his entry into India. Fayaz ultimately settled in Kishan Bagh.

In an effort to secure Fayaz's legal status in India, Zubair and Afzal Begum devised a plan to obtain an Aadhar card for him. Their actions led them to an Aadhaar center in Madhapur, where they attempted to register Fayaz under the name Mohammad Ghouse and submitted a fake birth certificate as evidence. However, local sources alerted the police, resulting in Fayaz's apprehension. It was discovered that Fayaz's Pakistani passport had expired, which further complicated the situation.

Both Zubair and Afzal Begum are currently absconding. Police have launched comprehensive interrogations involving counter-intelligence and central intelligence agencies. The investigation seeks to determine whether Fayaz's border crossing has any underlying conspiracies.
