Hyderabad: Following the 4-year-old girl's rape case in B.S.D.A.V. Public School in Banjara Hills, the parents of the school said that there are several security issues in the school. On Wednesday morning, the parents gathered and protested in front of the Banjara Hills Police Station.

The parents of the school were complaining that there was no proper security mechanism in the school. Archana Reddy, one of the parents said, "There is no proper security mechanism. At 12 pm, when the school leaves and the children come out of their classrooms, the auto drivers are simply let in. They come near the classrooms, pick the children and go. Nobody checks who is being taken away by whom."

Kasam Bhaskar, another parent also says that there is a security lapse in the school. He also points out that there is no tracking system as to which auto driver is taking which children.

Many of the parents also said that the school management was not supportive of the parents in the case and were trying to hide the matter. "We (parents) received a message saying that school will be closed for one week for Diwali. This way, they tried to hide this issue from other parents. We came to know about it only from the media this morning," added Archana.

The girl's father also said that the Principal and the school management were trying to protect the driver. "The Principal is supporting the accused. She should have filed a complaint but instead I have done it. I demand justice," said the girl's father. Many of the parents, who had assembled in front of the police station, demanded instant justice to be sought through an encounter with punishment for the accused driver and the Principal.

Meanwhile, the Principal's driver was arrested on Tuesday night and he was produced before the magistrate on Wednesday morning. Whereas the Principal was arrested and produced before the court on Wednesday. According to the FIR, a case has been registered against the Principal and his driver under Section 3376AB of IPC and Section 6 read with 5(m) of POCSO
