Hyderabad: HYDRAA Commissioner AV Ranganath has directed the officials to undertake a ground-level inspection within a week and take steps to deal with the unsolved complaints pending with the government for decades.
Ranganath received as many as 64 complaints about encroachments and protection of parks, roads, and open spaces, among other issues, during Prajavani held at his office, Buddha Bhavan, here.
Army Officers Colony Welfare Association claimed that a 3,000-square-yard park had been encroached on at RK Puram in Malkajgiri. Several colony welfare societies in Kukatpally have expressed concerns about encroachments.
Residents of Subodha and Swagruha housing societies near JNTU have complained about encroaching on open spaces designated for public utilities. Complaints were also received concerning the encroachment on Ambeer Cheruvu and a 2,000-square-yard open space in Aditya Nagar.
The owners of properties in Jayapuri Colony, Pocharam Municipality, Ghatkesar, have complained to HYDRAA that public land is being encroached upon and should be safeguarded. The evidence presented before the Commissioner revealed that the plots were being inhabited and villas were being built on the Gram Panchayat plan, which was laid out in 1968 on around 56 acres.
Residents of Ekashilanagar in Pocharam municipality came with a complaint about an engineering college occupying 15 feet of a 50-foot road for parking vehicles, and due to this, problems have arisen for them.
Residents of Dollar Meadows in Bowrampet village, Ranga Reddy district, complained over the closing of the road from their colony and asked HYDRAA chief Ranganath to show them the way according to the blueprint.
After going through the complaints, Ranganath directed the concerned officials about the steps to be taken to resolve the grievances after speaking with authorities from all over the regions and comparing Google and Survey of India maps.
