Hyderabad: In a move to reclaim public spaces, the HYDRAA Development on Wednesday cleared illegal road encroachments in Peerzadiguda Municipality in Medchal–Malkajgiri district.
The action followed a complaint from the Yadadri Residential Welfare Association, which alleged that the owner of SAGE School, Jashwanth Reddy, had illegally merged a 30-foot public road within the Yadadri Residential Colony to expand the school premises.
The road was originally laid to connect the colony’s 80 plots, spread across 5.20 acres, with the Warangal Highway. According to officials, Reddy had constructed buildings over the designated road space by combining adjacent plots.
Upon receiving the complaint, HYDRAA conducted a field inspection and confirmed both the road encroachment and the unauthorised constructions. Promptly acting on their findings, HYDRAA officials demolished the illegal structures and restored the road, ensuring access and connectivity for residents.
