PM Modi to visit Hyd on 13 Feb, attend public meeting at Parade Ground

Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the city on 13 February to lay the foundation stone for the modernisation of the Secunderabad railway station. Later, he will participate in a public meeting to be organised at the Parade Ground.

The PM’s tour was initially scheduled for 19 January for the launch of the Vande Bharat Express train and other development programmes. However, the tour was postponed and Mr. Modi virtually launched the Vande Bharat Express train during Sankranthi.

During his February visit, the Prime Minister will launch various railway projects works worth Rs. 2,400 crores, including the modernisation of the Secunderabad railway station at a cost of Rs. 700 crores, the doubling of the railway line between Secunderabad and Mahabubnagar at a cost of Rs. 1,231 crores, and works on Kazipet railway coach workshop at a cost of Rs. 521 crores.

Ahead of the elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party has made plans to hold meetings and key leaders will visit each constituency. Union minister for fisheries, animal husbandry, and dairy Parshottam Rupala will visit Medak parliamentary constituency and the Parliamentary affairs minister, Prahlad Joshi, will visit Chevella on 23 and 24 January. The Union ministers will interact with the people and explain to them the Central government schemes.
