PM Modi’s roadshow: Chikkadpally, Narayanaguda metro stations to close from 4:45 pm to 6:15 pm

Hyderabad: In view of security arrangements surrounding prime minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled roadshow in Hyderabad on Monday, the Hyderabad Metro Rail authorities have announced temporary closures and changes to stoppages at some of the stations.

As part of the security detail, Chikkadpally and Narayanaguda metro stations on the Green Metro Line will be closed 15 minutes before and after the prime minister’s roadshow, from 4:45 pm to 6:15 pm.

This means that from 4:45 pm to 6:15 pm, the metro train will skip Chikkadpally and Narayanaguda stations during its usual route and commuters avail the metro services after the scheduled break.

Additionally, the Arm-B of RTC X Roads Metro Station also on the Green Metro Line will be temporarily closed during the period.

A spokesperson from the Hyderabad Metro Rail urged commuters to plan their journeys accordingly and consider alternative routes during the affected hours. The temporary closures aim to facilitate the smooth conduct of the prime minister’s roadshow while maintaining the highest standards of security.

Passengers are advised to stay informed about the temporary closures and service alterations, making necessary adjustments to their travel plans to avoid inconvenience during the specified hours. HMRL's 5 DSPs have been instructed by MD NVS Reddy to sensitise their respective corridors Police & Private Security and monitor their functioning and situation in the metro stations in co-ordination with OCC staff LTMRHL.
