Police officials warn cricket bookies, punters ahead of IPL season
Ahead of IPL 2021, V.C. Sajjanar, commissioner of police, Cyberabad, on Friday warned bookies and punters indulging in cricket booking of stringent action if they continue their illegal activities.

Hyderabad: Ahead of IPL 2021, V.C. Sajjanar, commissioner of police, Cyberabad, on Friday warned bookies and punters indulging in cricket booking of stringent action if they continue their illegal activities.
"Cricket is a gentleman's game. Let us enjoy this season of IPL with our family and friends in a proper way rather than participating in betting," he said.
He also requested parents to keep a close watch on their children so that they do not get trapped by bookies. Betting is not only a criminal offense and is also a trap for youngsters who get carried away in the name of making easy money which betting is not.
Police officials said that if anyone finds such suspicious activity going around them, they should report it to 9490617444 through WhatsApp or can dial 100 and let the police take necessary action.
