Hyderabad: HYDRAA Commissioner AV Ranganath has asked the officials to dismantle the compound walls at the residential colonies that were hindering public movement.
The HYDRAA received as many as 71 complaints during the weekly Prajavani program. Most of the complaints are about encroachment of parks and roads. After examining them, Ranganath suggested that the roads should be laid out according to the layout.
He also promised prompt action and directed his personnel to verify land records using Google Maps and old records. One of the complaints related to the compound wall built by the residents of the NRI colony near Vampuguda in Kapra Municipality. The commissioner asked the officials concerned to demolish the walls blocking access to the colony.
Another complaint was about the encroachment of the park and the septic tank at Matrusrinagar in Circle 21, Chandanagar. After examining the complaints, the commissioner instructed the officials to remove encroachments.
Many people have complained that Sammireddy Bal Reddy has occupied their plots in Koheda village in Abdullahpur mandal of Rangareddy district. In Survey No. 951 to 954 in 1986, plots in the Gram Panchayat layout are not clear. They complained to the HYDRAA that Sammireddy Bal Reddy encroached on some of their plots and built a farmhouse.
Nalla Mallareddy tampered with revenue records in Ghatkesar
As many as 24 landowners from Ghatkesar mandal in Medchal-Malkajgiri district have accused educationist Nalla Mallareddy of unlawfully taking their plots in Survey Nos. 716, 717, and 718.
The landowners alleged that in 2010, records of the Revenue and Registrations Department were tampered with. Land-grabbing cases were also filed against Nallamalla Reddy in 2013. Andhra Pradesh Gazette was also published with the details of all 23 cases, said Khaja Meeran Moinuddin, a landowner.
āNalla Malla Reddy, head of educational institutions, is not only encroaching on our private plots but also government land and using his political power. Against this backdrop, HYDRAA's intervention is imperative. If HYDRAA investigates this, it can protect our private plots as well as government land,ā Moinuddin said.
Protect Yapralās Nagireddy Lake from encroachments
Residents in Yapral claimed that despite numerous demolition orders, the proprietor of a function hall had encroached upon Nagireddy Lake. "Encroachments must be removed, and the lake must be restored,ā said R Chandrasekhar, Yapral Community JAC member.
P Seetharama Raju, a retired army officer who complained on January 6 about the encroachment of 300 square yards of government-allotted property in Kukatpally, filed another complaint with the HYDRAA Commissioner. "Despite court orders, I have not been able to get my land back," he said.
Ranganath promised prompt action and directed his personnel to verify the land records.
