Prajavani: How a public representative misused his authority to encroach govt land in Ranga Reddy
Hyderabad: A group of residents have complained to Hyderabad Disaster Response & Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA), about government land encroachment in Ranga Reddy district.
The residents made the complaint during HYDRAAās Prajavani.
14 guntas of govt land encroached
The residents said that 14 guntas of government land adjacent to a school in Injapur village, Abdullapurmet in Ranga Reddy district was encroached upon by a public representative.
They claimed that, despite having saved the land from him multiple times and up a sign indicating that it was government property, he was doing the same thing again. Locals urged the officials to ensure that the site is utilized for school expansion and a playground for children.
63 complaints received during Prajavani
A total 63 complaints were received by the HYDRAA officials in the Prajavani programme. Many people have complained that removing the push carts from the sidewalks and service roads, which are used for doing business, would be a great relief for residential areas adjacent to major roads.
People have complained that houses are being constructed on Shikham lands, which should only be used for farming in the lakes. Builders are forging the maps and obtaining permits. Due to this, they are losing their agricultural land as a result.
Determine Gangaram Lake FTL
Many people complained that permission was not given for construction even though their houses were located above the Gangaram Lake FTL on the Miyapur-BHEL main road.
The complainant stated that houses were built around his house site, which was regularised under the Land Regularisation Scheme (LRS) as per the layout of Gram Panchayat. However, the permissions were denied to him to carry out construction activities at his house site. He urged the officials to determine the FTL at the earliest and resolve his problem.
Annam Raju Haribabu complained that a person who had laid out a layout next to his one-acre plot of land in Annaraya Lake in Nagaram municipality, Keesar Mandal in Medchal-Malkajgiri district was encroaching on it and was selling it like a plot, and had already erected several sheds.
Several residents urged the HYDRAA officials to restore the old Nala at the Oora Cheruvu in Medipally village of Medchal-Malkajgiri district. They also complained that their crops were damaged by continuously digging the canals for temporary relief when the floods came. The six colonies below the Oora Cheruvu should be protected from flooding and sewage, the residents said.
