`Prajavani': HYDRAA eliminates Ramachandraiah Colony’s sewerage hazard within 24 hours
Hyderabad: Residents of Ramachandraiah Colony in Medchal-Malkajgiri district heaved a sigh of relief after the HYDRAA eliminated the sewerage hazard within 24 hours of registering a complaint.
The complaint was lodged at the 'Prajavani' public darbar on Monday.
In their complaint, the residents said that a portion of Ramachandraiah Colony faced the threat of sewage due to obstructions created in the middle of the canal leading from Chennam Lake to Rellakunta.
Due to this, residents were forced to evacuate their homes after more than a meter of water submerged them in the sewer.
The colony's residents also said that they have been evacuating their homes and residing outside for months because their homes are submerged in sewage water.

Locals claimed that sewage water from Nizampet Municipality was reaching Chennam Lake in Dundigal Municipality, which was supposed to flow to Rellakunt in Bollaram Municipality, causing inconveniences.
In their complaint, the locals explained that the problem originated because individuals who designed the layout next to Ramachandraiah Colony obstructed the canal. They claimed that despite bringing the matter to the notice of the appropriate authorities, it was ineffective.
HYDRAA Commissioner AV Ranganath, who examined this complaint on Google Maps as well as satellite images, ordered the officials to resolve the problem immediately.
HYDRAA officials reached the spot on Tuesday and restored the sewer. With this, the sewage water that had been standing in Ramachandraiah Colony began to flow, ending their long-pending concern.
Meanwhile, colony inhabitants expressed their joy that their problems had been resolved and praised HYDRAA's quick action.
