President medal for IPS Shikha Goel, N Shivashankar Reddy
Shikha Goel has been awarded President’s Police Medal for distinguished service on the eve of Republic day.

Hyderabad: Shikha Goel, Additional Commissioner of Police, Crimes and Special Investigation team, Hyderabad City, has been awarded President's Police Medal for distinguished service on the eve of Republic day.
She is also the in-charge of SHE Teams and Bharosa Centres under Hyderabad commissionerate.
During the career spanning over 22 years have been involved in tackling terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, Naxalism and factionism in erstwhile Andhra Pradesh have investigated sensational and important cases like ambush case of SI in Jammu and Kashmir, train accident case, diamond heist case and several Anti-corruption cases.
She also formulated an Anti Maoist strategy with stress on community participation resulting in a large number of surrenders of Maoist and initiated various public interface programmes as part of community policing like police help site in Jammu and Kalasi Nadudam in Medak. She also Assisted CBI in investigating an important terror module and was also involved in busting a HUJI module in Hyderabad City.
Inspector General of Police of Telangana Police, N Shivashankar Reddy currently holding the charge of Nizamabad and Hyderabad is awarded President's Police Medal for Distinguished service.
Around twelve police medals for Meritorious Service have been awarded to the Telangana police personnel on the eve of Republic day.
Meanwhile, One each from Jharkhand Police and Central Reserve Police Force has been awarded President Police Medal for Gallantry posthumously, while 205 police medals for gallantry, 89 President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service and 650 police medals for meritorious service have been awarded on the eve of Republic Day.
A total of 131 Central Reserve Police Force personnel and 71 Border Security Forces (BSF) jawans will be awarded Police Medal for Gallantry, President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service & Police Medal for Meritorious Service. Around 71 personnel from Jammu & Kashmir, 87 from Uttar Pradesh & 57 from Maharashtra will be awarded Police Medal for Gallantry, President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service & Police Medal for Meritorious Service on Republic Day.
