President Murmu highlights Hyderabad Public School’s role in building future leaders

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Public School in Begumpet reached the milestone of celebrating a hundred years of its journey this year. To mark this special occasion, the school organised year-long celebrations.

On Tuesday, President Droupadi Murmu the school’s centenary celebrations as the chief guest. Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan was also present at the event.




During her speech at the celebrations, President Murmu praised Hyderabad Public School for its distinguished alumni, including renowned personalities like Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and Padma Bhushan Akkineni Nageswara Rao.

President Murmu emphasised the importance of the school’s responsibility in shaping future citizens of India. She encouraged students to aim high and highlighted the significant role of teachers in nurturing students not only academically but also in developing life skills and an awareness of the environment.

Speaking on the occasion, the President appreciated the entire team of the Hyderabad Public School for providing excellent education to the students in its 100 years of journey. She was happy to note that apart from academic achievements, emphasis is also given to character building in this school. She said that this institution has inspired its students to achieve excellence in various fields, which has also brought respect and glory to our country.

The President’s visit led to increased security measures in the city, with armed patrols and traffic restrictions around her residential area.

Her arrival in Hyderabad for a winter vacation was met with a warm welcome from governor Tamilisai, chief minister Revanth Reddy, and other officials at the airport. President Murmu will be staying in Bollaram for five days during her visit.
