Pushpa2 Stamped Case: What does the FIR state against Allu Arjun

Hyderabad: Pushpa 2 Actor Allu Arjun was arrested by Hyderabad cops in the Sandhya theatre stamped case on, Friday. The arrest was based on complaint filed by Magudampalli Bhaskar, the husband of Ms Revati- (the 39 YO deceased woman), against actor Allu Arjun, Sandhya Theatre management, and the actor’s personal security team following a stampede. The incident claimed the life of Bhaskar’s wife, Revathi, aged 39 and left their 9-year-old son, Sai Tej, hospitalized.

Details of the Complaint

According to the complaint, Bhaskar’s wife Revathi, along with their children, Sai Tej (9) and Sanvika (8), had attended the premiere show at Sandhya Theatre, Chikkadpally, on December 4.

“At around 9:10 PM, the theatre was already overcrowded. Around 9:40 PM, ahead of the actor’s arrival, his security personnel began clearing the crowd to make space for his entry,” Bhaskar stated in his complaint.

This led to panic and suffocation in the lower balcony where Revathi and Sai Tej were seated. “My wife and son couldn’t breathe and fell down due to suffocation,” he alleged.

Medical Response and Outcome

Bhaskar mentioned that police present at the scene rescued Revathi and Sai Tej and rushed them to Durga Bai Deshmukh Hospital.

“By the time we reached the hospital, my wife had already passed away. My son was given first aid and later shifted to KIMS Hospital, Begumpet, for better treatment,” he said.

Accusations of Negligence

Bhaskar accused the theatre management, Allu Arjun, and his security staff of negligence and lack of planning.

“Without prior arrangements or facilities, the theatre allowed an uncontrollable crowd. They forced us to vacate our seats, and the pushing and shoving caused the death of my wife and injuries to my son,” his statement read.

He further added, “The crowd surge was triggered by the arrival of the actor and the actions of his security team, who removed people to make space.”

Bhaskar has requested authorities to take legal action against the accused parties.

Police Action

Following the complaint, the Chikkadpally Police registered a case under Cr.No.376/2024, sections 105, 118(1) read with 3(5) of the BNS Act against Sandhya Theatre management, Allu Arjun, and his personal security staff.
