Hyderabad: The sleuths of the special operation team, Malkajgiri zone, busted an online interstate human trafficking racket on 18 March and rescued two victims.

They apprehended trafficker Vamshi Krishna (25) of Andhra Pradesh and rescued two victims from Assam and West Bengal. Another accused, Sai, is absconding.

According to the police, the traffickers uploaded photos of the young girls on the online dating site Locanto along with the payment details. A potential customer could select a girl and pay online. Once the payment was done, the traffickers would bring the girls to the doorsteps of the clients or any other location he preferred.

During the decoy operation, the traffickers, after receiving the online payment, informed the 'client' that they would bring them to his desired location. After receiving the location, Vamshi Krishna and the two girls got in a cab. The police apprehended the vehicle and arrested the man for running an illegal human trafficking racket.

Immediately, he was taken into custody and his mobile phone and some incriminating materials were seized. Vamshi Krishna along with the seized property was taken to Kushaiguda police station.
