Raids on narcotics in Hyderabad: 7 kg ganja, 3 kg ganja chocolates, Rs 6.5 lakh hash oil seized

Hyderabad: The Special Task Force (STF) B Team, conducted surprise raids near Bollaram Bazaar Railway Station after receiving information about ganja being sold from a car.
Officials apprehended Pujabai Satyam Rao alias Sonulu, a resident of Dhoolpet, while she was selling ganja from the vehicle.
The accused had reportedly brought 10 kg of ganja from Nanded, Maharashtra, of which 3 kg had already been sold. The team seized 7.043 kg of ganja, along with the car and mobile phones used in the operation.
Pujabai and Satyam Rao were arrested, while cases were also registered against her husband Akash Singh and the supplier involved. The seized material and the accused were handed over to the Secunderabad Excise Station.
Ganja chocolates racket unearthed in Chandanagar
In another operation, the STF C Team raided the area near Venu Gopala Swamy Temple on the BHEL–Chandanagar road after learning about narcotic-laced chocolates being sold there.
During the raid, officials seized 3.1 kg of ganja chocolates and 850 grams of raw ganja. The accused, identified as Narendra Kumar Pashetty from Odisha, had allegedly brought the contraband from his home state and was distributing it in local areas.
His motorcycle, mobile phone, ganja and ganja chocolates were seized and handed over to the Serilingampally Excise Station, CI Venkateshwarlu said.
1,200 kg of jaggery seized during Devarakonda transport
The STF A Team also intercepted a vehicle transporting jaggery near Devarakonda Gate, following intelligence that large quantities were being moved from Begum Bazaar, Hyderabad, to Devarakonda.
The team seized 1,200 kg of jaggery and 60 kg of alum from the vehicle. The accused, Nanavat Srikanth and Nanavat Naveen, were arrested. Cases were also registered against Nanavat Ramesh, supplier Ramachander, and Lakshminarayana Karwa.
The seized vehicle and material were handed over to the Devarakonda Excise Station.
Hash oil worth Rs 6.5 lakh seized in Chintal
In a separate case, the DTF Medchal team arrested Vishal Sarkar (22) from Malkangiri district of Odisha near the Asian Theatre area in Chintal. He was found in possession of 1,300 grams of hash oil, allegedly brought from Odisha for sale in Hyderabad.
The seized hash oil is valued at Rs 6.50 lakh, said Excise Superintendent Sheikh Fayazuddin. The accused and material were handed over to the Quthbullapur Excise Station.
