Ramkote: GHMC sweeper killed, 4 students injured after AIMS minibus rams into tree

Hyderabad: A GHMC sweeper was killed in an accident at Ramkote on Monday morning.

Identified as T. Sunitha, she was working under the Amberpet Circle when she was hit by a college minibus.

At approximately 7:50 am, Sunitha was sweeping the road when a minibus, operated by the Ayaan Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) in Moinabad veered out of control and collided with a tree.

Bus driver Mohammed Ghouse allegedly lost control of the vehicle resulting in the accident. Narayanguda Police arrived on-site and initiated an investigation.


CCTV footage revealed the bus hit the sweeper who was positioned near a tree. The video showed the bus's high speed before the collision occurred.

Four students also sustained injuries during the accident. They were swiftly taken to hospital where they are now reported to be in stable condition.

Narayanguda police arrived at the scene and are currently Investigating the case.

A case of negligence has been registered against the bus driver Mohammed Ghouse.

Bowrampet Accident

On August 2, an 8-year-old girl was killed and her father was injured when a Bhashyam School bus hit their Activa.

The victim was identified as Dikshita, a 3rd standard student at Delhi Public School, Bowrampet. She was on her way to school with her father Kishore when the incident occurred.

ā€œThe incident took place around 7:45 am between Pradeep Constructions and Reddy's Lab. The driver of the school bus was driving recklessly. Due to the impact of the collision, Kishore and Dikshita fell on the right side of the road. Dikshita was run over by the bus and lost her life on the spot. Her body was immediately shifted to Gandhi Hospital. Kishore sustained a fracture in his hand. He was taken to Mamtha Hospital for treatment,ā€ said SHO Bachupally N Suman Kumar.

"The accident was caused due to negligence of the driver. We are gathering more details about the incident," he said.
