Ranga Reddy accident: CM Revanth expresses shock; calls for expediting rescue, relief operations
The Chief Minister also ordered that medical teams be made available to save all those in critical condition

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has expressed shock over the road accident in Chevella Mandal of Rangareddy district today.
Death toll reach to 19, in the bus accident where a truck carrying gravel collided head-on with a public transport bus in Ranga Reddy ddistrict.
The accident occurred when the RTC Palle Velugu bus was traveling from Tandur to Hyderabad with 70 passengers on board.
The CM instructed the officials to immediately reach the spot and take necessary relief measures. The officials were ordered to get the complete details of the road accident and update him from time to time.
CM Revanth Reddy instructed Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao and DGP Shivadhar Reddy to shift all the injured persons to Hyderabad for better medical treatment. Officials were also instructed to visit the accident spot with the available ministers immediately. The District Collector was ordered to intensify the relief measures and take all necessary steps for that.
The Chief Minister spoke to the DGP and CS on the phone and inquired about relief measures at the spot in Chevella mandal on a war footing.
The Chief Minister ordered that emergency medical assistance should be provided to save lives. He said sufficient ambulances and medical personnel should be pressed into service.
The CM ordered special arrangements to be made at Gandhi and Osmania hospitals to provide adequate treatment to those injured in the accident. The Chief Minister also ordered that medical teams be made available to save all those in critical condition. The officials were directed to give the highest priority to providing better treatment to the injured.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced an ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from PMNRF to the next of kin of each deceased. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000.
