By Newsmeter Network Published on 22 April 2022 6:49 AM GMTHyderabad: GHMC has issued a travel advisory for 45 days in view of the Nala work at Rasoolpura near Begumpet.
The Nala work will continue on the Begumpet- CTO junction stretch at Rasoolpura and Ministers road for the next 45 days.
Traffic coming from the CTO junction and moving towards Ameerpet/ Greenlands will be diverted at Wesley College through the Sindhi Colony.
"As the colony roads cannot cater to huge volumes of traffic, we have also diverted RTC buses/ Private buses / Lorries/ DCM vans, etc. These vehicles will not be permitted from CTO junction to Begumpet/Ameerpet side," GHMC said.
But as the volume of LMVs/ Motorcycles traffic is very high along this stretch, there is a possibility of huge traffic congestion all along the CTO junction-Begumpet - Greenlands route. The jam can occur even 2-3 km away from Begumpet in the Secunderabad area like Paradise/ St Ann's School/ MG Road etc.
Hyderabad Traffic Police (HTP) have stopped all heavy vehicles coming into Begumpet diversion areas. "Since the problem of traffic congestion is grave, we request commuters going from Secunderabad to Ameerpet/ Punjagutta/ Madhapur Side to avoid CTO junction-Begumpet- Rasoolpura for the next 45 days. Otherwise, you may land up in serious Traffic jams/ congestions," GHMC said.
GHMC requested people to take alternative routes avoiding the areas falling within a 2 km radius from Rasoolpura/ CTO junction.
