Hyderabad: A late-night rave party at a service apartment in Kondapur was busted by the State Task Force of Prohibition and Excise department leading to the arrest of nine people and the seizure of a variety of banned narcotic substances and luxury vehicles.
The organisers, hailing from Andhra Pradesh, allegedly used fake IDs to conduct the party discreetly.
Raid yields major drug haul
During the operation, police seized a large quantity of banned drugs, including two kilograms of marijuana (ganja), 50 grams of OG Kush (a premium variety of cannabis), 11.57 grams of psychedelic mushrooms (commonly called āmagic mushroomsā) and 1.91 grams of charas (a form of hashish).
In addition to the narcotics, six high-end vehicles were confiscated from S V Nilayam, service apartment at Kondapur.

11 booked, 9 arrested
Police have registered a case against 11 individuals. Nine of them were arrested on the spot, while efforts are underway to trace the remaining suspects. All arrested persons were handed over to the Sherilingampally Excise Police for further legal action.
The arrested were identified as Rahul, Unnati Emmanuela alias Praveen, Ashok Naidu, Sammela Sai Krishna, Nagella Leela Manikantha, Hilton Joseph, Yashwanth Sridutta, Thota Kumaraswamy and Nandam Sumanth Teja. Two others Shrinivas Choudhary and Akhil are absconding.
AP-based organisers used fake IDs
According to preliminary investigations, the rave party was organised by two individuals ā Vasu and Shivam Rayudu ā both residents of Vijayawada. The duo is suspected of being involved in similar events in the past.
Authorities found that they had used identification documents belonging to others to rent the service apartment, allegedly to avoid detection.
Excise department takes over probe
Excise officials have formally registered a case and launched a wider investigation into the network behind the party. Officials suspect links to other drug-fuelled events in the region and are verifying the digital and financial trails of the accused.
