He sought peopleās cooperation to place Hyderabad on the global stage as a destination for a technical skill training center for the bright future of the students.
"Unemployment has increased. Youth did not get enough employment opportunities in the state in the last ten years. 30 lakh job aspirants have registered on the TSPSC website itself. About 50 lakh unemployed people are struggling for jobs in the state," said Revanth Reddy.
It may be recalled that the recruitment letters were given to 30,000 selected candidates within 3 months of coming to power in the state. The official process to fill another 35,000 vacancies including DSC, Group 1, Group 2, Group 3, and other jobs is under progress. Further, the government is taking all measures to fill another 35,000 jobs in the next 2 to 3 months.
On Wednesday, Reddy launched the BFSI skill development training program in 38 colleges at Masab Tank JNTU auditorium. As a part of this, the Government discussed with BFSI representatives and launched this program which has been designed to offer training to 10,000 students by the time they complete graduation. The trained students will get jobs in the banking, financial services, and insurance sectors.
Revanth Reddy explained that innovative courses are launched to provide jobs in Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) fields for degree and engineering students. These courses are started to teach the skills required for BFSI and the government will take the responsibility of providing the required skilled manpower to the industries.
Will cancel permission if colleges don't maintain standards:
During the meeting, Revanth Reddy was serious about some of the engineering colleges for not maintaining minimum standards in providing job skills and some colleges for running the institutions without teachers, and basic facilities. He warned that the government would cancel the permission of the colleges that failed to maintain educational standards.
Indiramma Committees:
In a later review meeting held, Revanth Reddy asked the officials to constitute Indiramma Committees by this Dussehra festival. The officials have been asked to finalize the modalities for the formation of village/ward, mandal/town, constituency, and district-level committees within a day or two. The Chief Minister emphasized that Indiramma's houses should be given to all.
He pointed out that the Telangana state is lagging in getting a sanction of the houses under Prime Minister Awas Yojana when the other states succeeded in getting lakhs of houses from the center. Following this, he instructed the officials to take all steps to get the sanction of a huge number of houses this year and also seek all the pending dues under the PMAY from the center.
The officials are asked to furnish all the information to the center immediately and also update the data regarding the Indiramma houses from time to time. He also instructed the officials to appoint engineers to outsource if the housing wing faces a shortage of manpower after the start of the construction of houses in large numbers.
During the meeting, Revanth Reddy suggested auctioning the unsold apartments and houses under the Rajiv Swagruha scheme.
On the delay in handing over the double-bedroom houses to the beneficiaries even after sanction, the CM asked the officials to provide basic facilities in the constructed blocks which are lying idle in Hyderabad and hand them over to the beneficiaries.
