More rains by June end
According to the IMD, the average rainfall in Telangana during the southwest monsoon is 738.6 mm. However, due to the delay in the arrival of the monsoon, the rainfall from June is said to be insufficient, with an 82% deviation.
Though the rains are expected to be weak due to their delay, IMD expects that rains will pick up pace by the end of June. The IMD predicts that Telangana will receive below-normal rainfall this season.
