The Cyberabad Traffic team introduced the law on Monday after a youth died when a speeding car rammed him.
A 27-year-old man was killed, while his friend suffered severe injuries when a speedy car hit the duo on the Durgam Cheruvu bridge in Hyderabad on Friday night. The deceased has been identified as S Anil Kumar (27) and the injured is K Ajay (25).
The duo were taking selfies on the busy cable bridge at the time of the incident.
The Madhapur police said, that on April 6, the driver of an Innova car hit Anil and Ajay while they were taking selfies. The driver fled the spot afterwards. The duo were shifted to Pace Hospital where Anil Kumar succumbed to his injuries. The Madhapur police station has registered a case.
It is found that many commuters park their vehicles to take selfies on the Durgam Cheruvu Cable bridge leading to traffic obstructions. The video of the incident that went viral shows the issues in detail.
