Hyderabad: Unidentified men stole a Road Transport Corporation (RTC) bus was stolen from the parking bay of Mehdipatnam depot.

This has caught the attention of both the police and RTC officials, marking a worrying turn of events in the usual transportation operations.

The missing bus was regularly used for daily trips from the Mehdipatnam Depot to the Chevella route. It was last seen parked on a Sunday evening. The driver, G. Narasimha, parked the bus securely before finishing work for the day. However, at 7 a.m., the bus was noticeably missing from its usual place, leaving a clear gap in the depot.

Despite extensive searches in the nearby areas, the bus couldn't be found. Its disappearance puzzled not only RTC officials but also the owner, leading to immediate action.

BVK Murthy, the Manager of Mehdipatnam Depot at RTC, lodged a complaint on Monday at AsifNagar police station. A case has been registered under section 379 of IPC, and the police are currently searching for the missing bus.
