Saddula Bathukamma @ L.B Stadium: Take note of traffic diversions, parking areas

Hyderabad: In connection with "Saddula Bathukamma" to be celebrated on 3 October 2022 (Monday) at L.B. Stadium, Liberty junction, and upper Tank Bund, traffic congestion is expected in areas surrounding L.B. Stadium and upper Tank Bund between 3 p.m and 9 p.m. During this time, traffic will either be stopped or diverted at the following locations:

1. Traffic coming from Chapel road, Nampally and intending to proceed towards B.J.R. statue will not be allowed and will be diverted at A.R petrol pump towards P.C.R.

2. Traffic coming from SBI Gunfoundry side and intending to proceed towards Press Club/Basheerbagh flyover will not be allowed and will be diverted towards Chapel road at S.B.I. Gunfoundry.

3. Traffic coming from Ravindra Bharathi and Hill Fort road and intending to proceed towards B.J.R. statue will not be allowed and will be diverted towards Sujatha High School at K.L.K. Building, Fateh Maidan.

4. Traffic coming from the Basheerbagh flyover side will not be allowed to take the right turn at B.J.R. statue and will proceed up to S.B.I. Gunfoundry and take a right turn toward Chapel road.

5. Traffic coming from Old MLA quarters towards Basheerbagh will be diverted at old MLA quarters towards Himayat Nagar Y-junction.

6. Traffic coming from King Koti and Boggulakunta proceeding to Basheerbagh via Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan will be diverted at King Koti crossroads towards Tajmahal or Eden Garden.

7. Traffic coming from Himayat Nagar Y-junction via Liberty towards upper Tank Bund will not be allowed and will be diverted at Liberty towards Basheerbagh flyover.

8. The general traffic on Tank Bund from the Telugu Tally side and Karbala Maidan side will not be allowed due to likely traffic congestion on 3 October between 3 p.m and 9 p.m.

9. Traffic coming from Secunderabad towards upper Tank Bund will be diverted at Karbala Maidan towards Bible House-Jabbar complex–Kavadiguda–lower Tank Bund–Katta Maisamma–Telugu Talli flyover.

10. Traffic coming from Iqbal Minar towards upper Tank Bund will be diverted at Old Gate Secretariat onto the Telugu Talli flyover–Kattamaisamma–Indira Park–Gandhi QNagar–RTC crossroad.

11. Traffic coming from Panjagutta and Raj Bhavan road towards Khairatabad flyover will be diverted at Indira Gandhi statue (Necklace Rotary) towards Prasads Imax and Mint Lane.

12. Traffic from Nallagutta junction towards Budha Bhavan will not be allowed and will be diverted at Nallagutta crossroads towards Ranigunj and Necklace road.

13. Traffic coming from Himayat Nagar and Basheerbagh towards upper Tank Bund will be diverted at Ambedkar statue towards Telugu Tally junction–NTR Marg–Iqbal Minar u-turn on to the Telugu Tally flyover.

14. Traffic coming from Musheerbad and Kavadiguda towards upper Tank Bund will be diverted at Kavadiguda crossroad towards lower Tank Bund–Kattamaisamma.

Diversions for RTC buses

1. All inter-district RTC buses coming from Secunderabad towards MGBS will be diverted at Sweekar-Upkar junction towards YWCA–Sangeeth–Mettuguda–Tarnaka–Nallakunta–Fever Hospital crossroads–Barkatpura–Tourist Hotel–Nimboliadda–Chaderghat–Rangmahal–MGBS from 3 p.m to 9 p.m

2. City buses will be diverted at Karbala Maidan towards Bible House–Jabbar complex–Kavadiguda crossroads–lower Tank Bund–Kattamaisamma and on to the Telugu Tally flyover from 3 p.m to 9 p.m.

Outer core/peripheral congestion areas to be avoided

The citizens have been requested to avoid the following junctions where traffic congestion is expected to be heavy:

· Liberty

· Tank Bund

· Khairatabad

· Telugu Thalli junction/ Secretariat junction

· Moazzam Jahi Market

· Nampally

· Abids

· Narayanguda

· Himayat Nagar

· around LB Stadium

· Ambedkar statue

· Kavadiguda crossroads

· Katta Maisamma

· Karbala Maidan, Bible House

· Ranigunj

· Nallagutta.

Core traffic congestion areas that must be avoided

· Jagjeevan Ram statue/Nizam College.

· Basheerbagh junction.

· Police Control Room.

· RBI

· Lakdikapool/Dwaraka Hote

· Ambedkar statue

· Telugu Talli junction.

Parking arrangements

1. Parking places for VIPs and officers at Tennis Ground, L.B. Stadium.

2. Electronic and print media vehicles will be parked at the SCERT office, near BJR circle.

3. All buses carrying invitees will go to Necklace Road behind Budda Bhavan after dropping the invitees at L.B. Stadium.

4. Reserve parking is kept at Nizam College ground.
