Saidabad rape case: Police announce Rs. 10L reward for any info on rapist
The man accused of the rape and murder of a six-year-old girl on Thursday in the Saidabad police station limits is still at large.

The police have now announced a reward of Rs. 10 lakh to any person who gives information or clues about the accused Pallakonda Raju.

The body of the girl who went missing from her house on Thursday was found in Raju's house in the early hours of Friday. Raju is suspected of having lured the girl by offering her chocolates while she was playing near her house. He reportedly took her to his house, located in the same neighbourhood, where he raped and killed her.
On Tuesday, the police released the description of the accused who is around 30 years old and is 5.9 feet tall. He has long hair which is tied with a rubber band and is wearing a cap and a red scarf around his neck. He has tattoos on both his hands that read "Mounika". The information can be passed to DCP East Zone at 9490616366 and DCP Task Force at 9490616627, the police said.
The Saidabad police have booked a case under Sections 376(1) and 302 for rape and murder. Raju was also booked under the POCSO Act 2012.
The incident triggered outrage among the residents of the colony who staged a protest on the Sagar road for more than seven hours on Friday, prompting Hyderabad district collector L. Sharman to intervene. Mr. Sharman has promised a two-bedroom house and a job for the victim's family. He also handed over a cheque for Rs. 50,000.
