Saroornagar shocker: Four people kill hotel employee for not serving chicken, arrested
Rachakonda police have arrested four persons who allegedly killed a hotel worker after he refused to serve them chicken at Saroornagar.

The accused have been identified as P Mahesh, his brother P Vijay and two teenagers, all hailing from the Bidar district of Karnataka. All of them have been working at the Kothapet fruit market.
According to police, the accused brothers along with the teenagers had migrated to the city to work in the fruit market at Kothapet. Victim Balaji Rathod (24), who also hailed from Bidar district, was working at Durga Bhavani Hotel in Kothapet.
On the night of May 2, the accused persons came to the hotel to have food. They ordered rice with chicken curry. Balaji however told them that chicken was not available and there was boti.
One of the accused, Mahesh, followed Balaji into the kitchen and found there was chicken in the vessels. He immediately picked up an argument with Balaji. Hotel owner K Sudhakar intervened and settled the issue. Later all the accused had food and left the hotel without paying the bill.
However, on the same night, they came back to the hotel and attacked Balaji. While others rained blows, Mahesh hit Balaji with a stone. He collapsed in a pool of blood and was evacuated to a private hospital.
Later his family members shifted him to another hospital in Bidar where he succumbed on May 16. Based on a complaint from the hotel owner, police registered a case. After going through CCTV footage, police arrested four accused on Wednesday.
