‘Scattered storms’ to cool down Hyderabad for next 5 days
After sweltering heat, rain to bring some relief to Telangana districts
By Newsmeter Network Published on 21 April 2023 12:40 PM GMTHyderabad: After witnessing blistering temperatures for many days, Hyderabad is finally going to receive much-needed relief from the extreme heat.
Starting 20 April, scattered and heavy storms will hit Telangana, including Hyderabad, the local meteorological agency predicted. This brings a glimpse of hope for the citizens who have been suffering from oppressive heat for almost a week.
While heavy rains are not anticipated in Hyderabad every day, there is a potential for scattered storms every day, which will provide much-needed relief to the city during the next five days, according to weather forecasters.
The India Meteorological Department-Hyderabad (IMD-H) predicts an overcast sky with rain or thundershowers in the city. The forthcoming rain has been ascribed to the western disturbance, which is predicted to deliver extensive rainfall to numerous regions of the country, including Telangana. The low-pressure region is also expected to cause thunderstorms in certain places.
Hyderabad will see a partly overcast sky for the next 24–48 hours. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is probable in the evening or at night. The highest and lowest temperatures are expected to be approximately 37°C and 24°C, respectively. Surface winds are expected to be south-easterly, with wind speeds ranging from 06 to 08 km/h.
