Hyderabad: The Army College of Dental Sciences (ACDS), Secunderabad, was presented with ISO certificates for quality management system and environmental management system.

The certificates were presented to Major General R.K Singh, GOC of Telangana and Andhra sub-area and ACDS chairman, by Alapati Sivaiah, the managing director of HYM International Certification Private Limited, ACDS said in a release.

A farewell ceremony was also organized for Major General Singh here on Thursday. It was under his chairmanship and guidance that the college attained a number of important achievements, both academically and in infrastructure development.

The top achievers in the university examination and winners in sports and cultural events were also felicitated during the function.

In his welcome address, ACDS principal Dr. S. Subramanya Sharma informed the students about the various projects undertaken for infrastructure development worth Rs. 6 crores in the past two years under the chairmanship of Major General Singh. These included procurement of mobile dental treatment van, CBCT machine, hospital management software system, Wi-Fi connection for the campus, and proposed new PG block of 20,000 square feet.

Major General Singh extolled the students to make use of the world-class facilities at ACDS and work hard and become quality dental doctors.
