Secunderabad's Outswinger pub raided for obscene activity; 20 held
Around twenty persons were arrested at Outswingers pub at Hotel Basera in Secunderabad for indulging in obscene activity after North Zone Task Force and Gopalapuram police raided the premises on Monday night.

According to the police, at around 10:45 pm, the police entered into the premises and noticed that few of the women were indulging in obscene acts in indecent manner with male persons by exposing their bodies in an indecent manner, dancing on the dance floor making gestures on seeing male persons, trying to engage them in immoral acts and causing annoyance to other customers in the bar.
Also, the music system was found to be playing beyond the permissible decibels along with disco lights by violating the prescribed rules. The police said that the management of the above Basera Hotel has engaged the above-mentioned girls and converted the pub into a dance bar by arranging amenities to attract the customers with an intention to gain money in an illegal manner.
Police arrested the hotel's General Manager Shoaib Sharif, Outswinger pub manager Iqbal Hussain, Security General Manager of AK Khan along with DJ operator S Krishna, bouncer K Pavan, bar man Sisir Kumar Swain, waiter Sangram Braik, nine women and three male customers. All the arrested persons were produced in court for judicial remand on Tuesday.
The pub and hotel are run by the Ohri's Group. Ohri Group's Executive Director Amar Ohri is currently absconding. Police also said that all the above obscene activities are being carried out in presence and knowledge of the Basera Hotel Organizers, manager and owners/partners.
A case has been registered under Section 278(making atmosphere noxious to health.), 294(obscene act in any public place) of IPC and seized one amplifier of the sound system.
Recently, two pubs in the city, Enigma and Tequila were also raided for allowing "obscene activities"
