Cyberabad police registered a case against an unidentified person for flying a drone over Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Hyderabad: Cyberabad police registered a case against an unidentified person for flying a drone over Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Tuesday and Wednesday.

According to a complaint filed by Bharat Kumar Kamdar, Head security GMR, RGI Airport, Shamshabad, at about 10:15 pm on April 26, Raxa staff deployed near GMR Chinmaya gate spotted a drone near Varalakshmi Foundation located around two km away from the airport.

Later it flew towards the CISF complex side and could not be traced further. After a while, at about 11:15 pm it was again spotted east of Varalakshmi Foundation and near Sai temple at about 11:40 pm. Both the locations are around 2 km. away from the airport.

On Wednesday morning at about 4:38 am, a drone was again spotted near the CISF complex which is located around 05 km away from the airport.

Police have registered a case under section 336(To endanger human life or the personal safety), 447(criminal trespass), 188(Disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of IPC, Sec 11(A) (wilfully flies any aircraft in such a manner as to cause danger to any person or any property on land or water or in the air ) of the aircraft act-1934 and investigation is going on.
