In view of the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Hyderabad, the ministry of home affairs has issued orders that remotely controlled drones, paragliders, remotely controlled micro-light aircraft will not be allowed in the circle of 5-kilometer radius near Hyderabad International Convention Centre at Gachibowli.
There is a three-tier security set-up for the BJP's National Executive Committee meeting at HICC Novotel on July 2nd and the public meeting at Parade Ground on June 3rd which will be addressed by PM Narendra Modi.
Drones will not be allowed in view of the security threats from anti-social elements according to the ministry of home affairs. The orders will remain in force till July 4th.
The city of Hyderabad is gearing up for heavy security in view of the BJP meet. There are specialized police personnel from Quick Response TEam, SRPF, Combat Vehicles and other personnel deployed around the venue of the PM visit.
The senior officials from Prime Minister's Office and SPG are constantly communicating with each other on the security measures and arrangements.
The SPG is to take a call on whether PM Modi is to reside either at Novotel Hotel or Raj Bhavan.
The security at both these places has been beefed up by the Telangana police.
There will be several traffic restrictions in the city due to the movement of vehicles from Begumpet airport to the HICC in Hi-tech city.
