Ali Masqati hails BRS as a truly secular party
Expressing confidence in the BRS leadership, Ali Masqati said he was drawn to the party’s secular and inclusive governance model.
“The BRS is a genuinely secular party led by a visionary like KTR. The present Congress government has failed to uphold secular values or prioritise minority welfare,” he said.
Masqati recalled that under former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), minorities in Telangana witnessed notable progress through various welfare schemes.
“KCR is a genuine secular leader who ensured inclusive development and equal opportunity for all communities,” he added, criticising the Congress government for its alleged neglect of minority issues.
Shakeela Reddy quits TDP, joins hands with BRS
Former TDP senior leader Shakeela Reddy formally resigned from the previous party before joining the BRS, citing the party’s proven record in governance and development.
“I have decided to work under the leadership of KCR and KTR. The BRS government delivered historic progress for Telangana, while the present administration has failed to introduce any meaningful initiatives,” she said.
Reddy also declared her commitment to actively campaign for the BRS candidate in the upcoming Jubilee Hills by-election, expressing confidence that the party would achieve a decisive victory in the constituency.
Youth leader Rohit Sharma backs KTR’s vision
Adding youthful energy to the BRS ranks, aspiring political leader Rohit Sharma also joined the party during the event.
“I am inspired by KTR’s vision, dynamism, and dedication to Telangana’s development. I joined the BRS to contribute my part in strengthening the state’s progress under his leadership,” he said.
KTR says new joiners will strengthen the party
Welcoming the new members, the BRS working president said their decision to join reflects people’s growing confidence in the party’s leadership and governance.
“The inclusion of senior leaders like Ali Masqati and Shakeela Reddy, along with young aspirants like Rohit Sharma, will further strengthen the BRS and energise our ongoing efforts for Telangana’s development and welfare,” KTR said.
He added that the BRS would continue to focus on inclusive growth and people-centric governance, reaffirming the party’s commitment to Telangana’s future.
