Shahalibanda hit-and-run case: Mercedes driver, accomplice arrested from Shamshabad
Police have arrested a Mercedes SUV driver and his accomplice in a hit and run case that left a woman dead and five others injured at Shahalibanda on Wednesday.

Hyderabad: Police have arrested a Mercedes SUV driver and his accomplice in a hit and run case that left a woman dead and five others injured at Shahalibanda on Wednesday.
The arrested Mercedes SUV driver has been identified as Mohammed Adil Khan. He along with his accomplice were taken into custody by the task force police from the Shamshabad area. Later the accused were handed over to Hussainialam police.
On Thursday, police identified the vehicle owner from CCTV footage. The car was recovered from the Talab Katta area under the Bhavaninagar police station area.
Police reached his house on Thursday morning. His family members however fled from the spot. However, police tracked the accused and arrested him from Shamshabad.
According to eyewitnesses, a white car was en route to Shahalibanda when it hit an auto-rickshaw leaving one woman dead and five others including the driver injured. The deceased was identified as Salma
The injured auto driver was identified as Salahuddin. The second injured was identified as Yashwant. They were taken to Osmania General Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Mercedes was traveling from Shalibanda to Haribowli. He allegedly lost control over the vehicle and crashed into multiple vehicles
The accused have been produced before the Metropolitan court.
