The construction of the four-lane bi-directional bridge will make travel easier. The bridge will connect several areas to and from Nehru Outer Ring Road.
Shilpa layout flyover will increase road connectivity between the finance district and the hi-tech city. Development is likely to increase in the HKC and Meenakshi Tower. As part of Stage 2 of the project, another work is going on from ORR to Kondapur with a length of 816 meters and a width of 24 meters.
Additionally, lesser traffic at various busy junctions like Gachibowli is also expected.
17th flyover undertaken by Strategic Road Development (SRDP)
The total length and width of the flyover are 956 meters and 16.60 meters respectively.
Two flyovers have been built, one with a width of 456.64 meters from up ramp O.R.R to Shilpa Layout Flyover and the other with a width of 399.952 meters from Shilpa Layout to O.R.R. In addition, a 473-meter-long, 8.50-meter-wide ramp flyover from Bade Gachibowli to MindSpace has been built as a service road. Similarly, the MindSpace-Gachibowli down-ramp flyover is 522 meters long and 8.50 meters wide.
The Kondapur flyover will be completed by July 2023. The public transport system will further improve due to the accessibility of each of the works undertaken by SRDP on all sides of Hyderabad.
GHMC has issued a request for proposals for the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of decorative lighting with dynamic illumination on both sides of the Shilpa Layout flyover, as well as operation and maintenance (O&M) for five years.
