To ease traffic in the area, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority proposed to build a flyover over the two major junctions under the Strategic Road Development Plan. The six-lane 1.13-km long flyover cost Rs. 387 crore, including Rs. 122 crore for civil works and Rs. 265.00 crores for land acquisition. To construct the 24-m wide flyover, HMDA took up road widening works, creating 45-m wide roads. It acquired 357 properties for the road expansion after paying suitable compensation.

The flyover was set to be completed last year but the works were delayed due to a delay in land acquisition. The flyover has central medians and crash barriers on either side of the road. It will facilitate the smooth flow of traffic on the Balanagar main road and motorists can cross over to Narsapur and Fathenagar 'T' junction. The 1.13 kilometer six-lane two-way flyover connects Balanagar crossroads and Narsapur crossroads. Once the flyover is opened, it will facilitate smooth flow of traffic on the Balanagar main road.
