Hyderabad: A speeding Ferrari car rammed into an electric pole on Road No. 45 in Jubilee Hills on Sunday. The crash at 10:30 am triggered a series of collisions involving three vehicles, causing major traffic disruption.
Three persons have sustained minor injuries in the crash and have been taken to a hospital for treatment.

According to official records, the owner of the Ferrari (TS07 HK 8797) is listed as E Venkata Raja Reddy.
Driver not under influence of alcohol, says cop
Speaking to NewsMeter, Jubilee Hills Inspector U Srinivasulu Reddy said that the crash occurred at 10:30 am. The vehicle was being driven by Kranthi Reddy, who was travelling to Kondapur from Jubilee Hills to attend a marriage.
When asked if the car driver was under the influence of alcohol, the inspector said that soon after the accident, the police personnel rushed to the spot and conducted an alcohol test with a breath analyser. ‘
They concluded that the driver was not under the influence of alcohol.
“The accident happened due to brake failure in the car and we are checking with the motor vehicle inspector (MVI) to assess the actual cause of the accident,” he said.
Apart from the Ferrari car, two more cars were damaged in the crash, and three people sustained minor injuries and they were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Ferrari driver lost control of car, say cops
According to police, the Ferrari was travelling at a high speed when the driver reportedly lost control and crashed into an electric pole on the road divider.
The impact pushed the luxury car onto the opposite side of the road, where it collided with an oncoming vehicle.
In the ensuing chaos, another car rammed into the already-hit vehicle, resulting in damage to three cars in total.
Brake, steering glitch likely behind crash
Preliminary investigation suggests that the Ferrari may have encountered a sudden mechanical issue involving the brakes and steering system, leading to the driver losing control.
The vehicle first smashed into a light mast on the central divider before veering across to the opposite lane, where it ploughed into oncoming traffic.
Ferrari front end is completely damaged
The front portion of the Ferrari was completely crushed due to the impact. The other two cars also sustained visible damage.
Despite the severity of the crash, all occupants escaped without injuries, bringing relief to onlookers and commuters.
Crash causes traffic jam on Road No. 45
The accident led to heavy traffic congestion along Road No. 45 in Jubilee Hills for some time. Police personnel rushed to the spot and regulated traffic to ease the situation.
The police have registered a case and launched an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
