Hyderabad is bracing up to host a five-day religious festival of Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavam from October 11.

TTD hosted the Ankurarpanam fete on Monday with the help of donors Harsha Vardhan, SS Reddy, Venkateswara Reddy, and Subba Reddy.

On Monday evening, Punyahavachanam, Viswaksena Aradhana, Vastu Shanti, and Senadhipati Utsavam were performed as part of the fete.

Srivari model temple set up at NTR Stadium

TTD has built a model Srivari temple at NTR stadium, with Nitya Kainkaryams similar to those found in Tirumala.

Suprabatam at 6 a.m., followed by Tomala Seva, Koluvu, Archana, Nivedana, Sattumora, Weekly Sevas, and Sarva Darshana to devotees from 10 a.m. to 7.30 p.m.

Similarly, during these five days, Sahasra Deepalankara Seva Veedhi Utsava, night Kainkaryams, and finally Ekantha Seva will mark the end of daily Sevas.

Vasantothsavam will be held on October 11, Sahasra Kalashabhisekam on October 12, Tiruppavada Seva on October 13, Abhisekam and Nija pada Darshan Seva on October 14, and Sri Srinivasa Kalyanam on October 15.

Significance of Vaibhavotsavam

All devotees who visit Tirumala do not have the opportunity to witness the daily rituals at Srivari temple, and many do not have the opportunity for additional Darshan due to financial constraints and old age problems. TTD is holding the Vaibhavotsavam fete in several regions to address the issue of devotees bringing Srivaru's blessings to their doorstep. After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic Corona, the tradition has been resurrected.

A flower and electrically decorated platform has been set up near the model Srivari temple to demonstrate rituals and allow devotees to sit comfortably under the large German sheds. Separate food counters and queue lines are also provided for the distribution of Anna Prasadam.

The Archakas of Srivari temple, along with their assistants, perform all Vedic rituals. As part of cultural programs, artists from the Annamacharya Project perform sankeetans, and artists from the Dasa Sahitya Project perform dharmic discourses.

The public relations department has organized a photo exhibition featuring flexes on Gosamrakshanashala, organic products, and other important issues. Srivari Sevakulu will provide services to devotees in large numbers. The SVBC is broadcasting these programmes live.

TTD has also made available Panchagavya products and TTD diaries and calendars for sale at the location.
