Steel Bridge: Now travel from Lower Tank Bund to VST in 5 minutes
The bridge has been named after former home minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy on the request of Musheerabad MLA M Gopal and directions of chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
By Newsmeter Network Published on 19 Aug 2023 10:27 AM GMTHyderabad: The Telangana Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao inaugurated the steel bridge at Indira Park on Saturday. The steel bridge, which is 2.25 km long and consists of four lanes, was built at an estimated cost of Rs 450 crore.
The bridge is expected to alleviate traffic issues at VST Junction, RTC Crossroads, and Indira Park Crossroad. Motorists who used to take 30 to 40 minutes to travel from Lower Tank Bund to VST can now do so in just 5 minutes.

A steel flyover, a first of its kind in Hyderabad, from Indira Park to VST will be inaugurated on 19th August by Minister @KTRBRS.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, KTR said, āThe bridge will address traffic issues and solve the congestion problems in the area. It also marks the 36th project in the Strategic Road Development Program (SRDP).ā
The minister also expressed a commitment to undertake further development programs in Hyderabad, aiming to elevate the cityās development to an international level.
Additionally, the family members of Nayani Narasimha Reddy expressed their gratitude to the government for naming the project after him.
Development plans for Hussain Sagar and PVNR Marg
In addition to the steel bridge, Minister KT Rama Rao announced plans to develop Hussain Sagar and PVNR Marg on par with international standards in addition to the steel bridge. He said there were plans to develop Indira Park and Lower and Upper Tank Bund with parking facilities, decks, and many more facilities in future.
