Step-by-Step procedure: Hyd polices new system makes applying for entertainment licenses easier

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police have rolled out an online licensing system for hassle-free issuance of entertainment and amusement licenses through the redesigned city police website.

It was launched on Tuesday by city police commissioner C.V Anand at a hybrid event held at the TSPICCC auditorium. The new online system is in line with the state government's EODB policy and offers accountability, transparency, ease in data retrieval, and a faster approval process. Interestingly, the Hyderabad city police have become the first unit in the state to launch these services online.

An optimistic Mr. Anand said the new system will curb public nuisance, traffic obstructions, and other general complaints and enhance stakeholder satisfaction with the government. The seamless system will improve compliance with the rules and regulations by all stakeholders, he added. "With the introduction of the new system, filling and submission online will take less than 15 minutes. New licenses will be issued within 30 days and renewal applications will be approved within 15 days," said Mr. Anand.

Application process explained

Mr. Anand explained that for all fresh applications, the SHOs (traffic, L&O) are supposed to complete the verification and submit the report to the ACsP within 15 days. Further ACsP, DCsP (L&O, traffic) will examine the reports within three and two days, respectively, and submits them to the CP office. Finally, the CP office will process and issue the license within 10 days.

In case of renewal of applications, the SHOs (traffic, L&O) are supposed to complete the verification and submit the report to the ACsP within two days. Further, ACsP will examine the reports in two days and forward it to the concerned DCsP. Within a day the DCsp concerned will forward it to the CP office. Finally, the license will be issued by the CP office within five days.

Easy application process

Earlier, applicants had to fill out tedious forms and visit several wings multiple times which made the entire process cumbersome and time-consuming. Due to these difficulties, a few managements stopped applying for licenses.

Presenting the EODB features on the city police website, Mr. Anand said applicants can now visit the city police website (www.hyderabadpolice.gov.in), enter the details on the application form, and upload the required documents such as trade license, NOCs, rental deed, partnership deed, etc. After submitting the application, a unique acknowledgment number will be generated.

The application will be automatically forwarded to the city police commissionerate. Upon completion of the field inquiry, the licensing authority, i.e., CP Hyderabad, will issue the license and send it to the applicant via e-mail.

New website launched

On the occasion, Mr. Anand also launched the revamped city police website with rich and improved compatibility.
