Hyderabad: Police have registered a case after two brothers hit a hotel cashier for having fewer chicken pieces in biryani at Mailardevpally.

According to the police, Srinivas Goud and his brother Prashanth Goud, who are into travel business at Aramghar, stopped by the hotel in Mailardevpally on Wednesday and ordered chicken biryani.

When the dish was served, the brothers reportedly found very few pieces of chicken in the biryani. The duo picked up an argument with the staff at the cash counter. They rained blows on the cashier. When other staff tried to intervene, they too were manhandled.

The incident took place around 5 pm when the hotel staff was in a hurry to shutter down due to lockdown.

An onlooker later called up the police. Cops reached the spot and dispersed the crowd. Two cases have been registered under the City Police Act.
