Summer blues: Hyderabad sizzles at 40 degree Celcius

Weathermen said the searing temperature will continue. However, scattered rains may provide some respite

Hyderabad: For the first time this season, the mercury hot 40 degrees Celcius in Hyderabad.

On April 4, the temperature at Borabanda in Hyderabad was recorded at 40.2°C.

Weathermen said the searing temperature will continue. However, scattered rains may provide some respite.


After April 9, it will get super hot with a daily temperature crossing 40°C.

According to the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS), the maximum daytime temperature of the season was recorded at 43.8 degree Celsius on Thursday at Bhiknoor, Kamareddy district. Trimulgherry in Hyderabad recorded 40 degrees Celsius on Monday.

Maximum daytime temperatures in the city ranged from 40 degree Celsius to 38 degrees Celsius in several areas. Apart from Trimulgherry, the five highest daytime temperatures recorded in Hyderabad are 39.3 degrees Celsius in Serilingampally, 39.1 degree Celsius at Saidabad, 38.9 degree Celsius at Shaikpet, 38.7 degree Celsius at Rajendranagar, and 38.4 degree Celsius in Nampally.

Dasturabad in Nirmal recorded 42.7 degrees Celsius, Marthanpeta in Rajanna Siricilla 42.4 degree Celsius, Nizamabad 42.3 degree Celsius, and Dubbak in Siddipet district 42.2 degree Celsius.

IMD, Hyderabad forecasted gloomy weather conditions in Hyderabad next few days. However, afternoon temperatures in districts will continue to exceed 40 degrees Celsius.
