Hyderabad: Actor-turned-politician Rajinikanth, who was shooting in Hyderabad the last 10 days for 'Annaatthe' was admitted in Apollo hospitals, Jubilee Hills. The health complaint is said to be severe fluctuations in his blood pressure. He tested negative for COVID-19 on 22 December. The doctors at the private hospital are keenly monitoring his situation.

The movie shoot was put on hold as four crew members tested positive. Although he is not showing any symptoms of COVID-19, he seems to be suffering from severe blood pressure fluctuations and fatigue.

"Though he did not have any symptoms of COVID-19, his blood pressure showed severe fluctuations and needed further evaluation for which he has been admitted. He will be investigated and monitored closely till his blood pressure settles down before being discharged. Apart from fluctuating blood pressure and exhaustion, he does not have any other symptoms and is hemodynamically stable," the statement read.
