Suraksha Dinotsavam: Here are traffic diversions for 4 June

Hyderabad: In commemoration of the Telangana Rashtra Avatarana Dashabdi Utsavalu, the 10th Telangana Formation Day celebrations, the Telangana state police have declared 4 June as “Suraksha Dinotsavam” (Safety Day).

As part of the celebrations, several events and activities have been planned, including a patrol cars/blue colts rally, a technology exhibition at the Ambedkar statue, a women’s safety carnival, and a foot march to Charminar. However, due to the expected large participation of visitors and increased vehicular movement, traffic diversions and road closures have been implemented from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

A. Patrol cars/Blue Colts rally from Sanjeeviah Park to Charminar and return (6 a.m. to noon)

Route: Sanjeeviah Park – Budha Bhavan – Sailing Club – Children’s Park – Ambedkar statue – Liberty – Basheerbagh – BJR statue – Abids – MJ Market – SA Bazar – Afzalgunj – Nayapul – Madina – Pattargatti – Gulzar House – Charkaman – Charminar.

Traffic halts: Traffic will be temporarily stopped at various junctions/lanes along the rally route.

B. Technology exhibition at Ambedkar statue

Street plays will be organised on various themes, including traffic safety, anti-drug campaigns, cyber security, and women’s safety.

Parking places for exhibition visitors:

1. Necklace Road and Mint compound lane (single-line parking)

2. NTR Ghat

3. NTR Garden

4. Race Course Road

C. TS women police safety wing carnival on Tank Bund (4 p.m. to 9 p.m.)

Traffic diversions and restrictions on Tank Bund:

· Liberty to Upper Tank Bund: Diversion at Ambedkar statue towards Telugu Thalli, Iqbal Minar, and Telugu Thalli flyover.

· Telugu Thalli to Upper Tank Bund: Diversion at Ambedkar statue towards Liberty and Himayathnagar.

· Karbala Maidan to Upper Tank Bund: Diversion at Sailing Club towards Kavadiguda DBR Mills, Lower Tank Bund, Katta Maisamma Temple, and Telugu Thalli flyover.

· DBR Mills to Upper Tank Bund: Diversion at DBR Mills towards Ghosala, Kavadiguda, Jabbar Complex, and Bible House.

· Iqbal Minar to Secunderabad: Diversion at Old Secretariat towards Telugu Thalli flyover via Katta Maisamma, Lower Tank Bund, DBR Mills, and Kavadiguda.

Parking places for carnival visitors:
