Students accuse principal of abuse in classrooms
According to the students, principal Sailaja and the hostel caretaker drink alcohol on the hostel premises regularly. “Our principal doesn’t have self-control. She always abuses us in class. When we asked her about consuming alcohol, she used vulgar language. We are not safe living in the hostel. At times, her son who is also of our age stays in the hostel. How can we feel safe?” asked the students speaking to the media.
They also alleged that the principal never gives respect to their parents when they come to speak with her. “She never respects us or our parents. She uses vulgar language with all girl students,” said a student.
The students who planned to solve the issue caught bottles hidden in the room and shot a video for proof. “We found beer bottles and immediately seized the room. We couldn’t sleep the whole night worrying about what would happen to us the next day morning. We cannot stay and study around these unsafe staff,” said the students.
A week ago, the same students protested sitting on the roads to provide basic amenities in the hostel. They stated the hostel food is not properly cooked and served.
